Comments about 1-Day Acuvue Moist 30 pack:

I am 60 years old and no .longer able to wear extended weat lenses due to dry eyes. These work great for me. The cost; however, is higher than the extended wear and I must take out end of day and put in new pair each day~

        A:

Yes, a prescription is required to purchase all contact lenses. If you need help finding a doctor in your area, we have a great network of eye doctors and can help you find an eye exam for a great price at a convenient location. Feel free to call for further assistance (1-800-266-8228).

My original order was for contacts to be changed out every 2 weeks. Can I change to the daily disposable or do I have to go back to the eye dr.?

        A:

You will need to go back to your eye doctor to obtain a prescription for daily disposable lenses. Prescriptions for contact lenses are brand-specific because each lens will fit differently and may feel different in the eye due to unique materials and manufacturing processes. Your eye doctor would need to adjust the parameters in your prescription and make sure the daily lenses will work okay for your eyes before you wear them.

        A:

Unfortunately the 1-Day Acuvue Moist lenses are not FDA approved to be worn overnight. These are a daily lens that should be thrown away each night.

    • Q:

1 day acuvue Moist has enough oxygen for the day?

      Asked on 5/3/2010 by Anonymous

      1 answer

      • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

        A:

The 1-Day Acuvue Moist are fairly average on their oxygen permeability rating, so whether they work for you will just depend on how your eyes react to the lenses. Some eyes dry out more quickly than others, and although one brand may contain enough oxygen for the day for one person, for another person the lenses could not work at all. You should work with your eye doctor to find the lens that works best for your specific needs.

    • Q:

Is there any differences between the 1-Day Acuvue Moist 30 pack and 1-Day Acuvue Moist 90 pack other than the packaging quantity?

      1 answer

      • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

        A:

No, the number of lenses in each pack is the only difference between them. They are packaged in both quantities for your convenience.

    • Q:

HOW TO TELL IF CONTACT IS INSIDE OUT?

      Asked on 4/28/2010 by Anonymous

      1 answer

      • A:

I switched from hard to soft several years ago and I did not find that the eye doctor's technician really helped me figure this out. The directions on the box were great though. Just push the contact lens together gently. If the edges of the lens point inward, that is right. If the edges point outward, you are flipped backwards!

    • Q:

Whats the difference between the Moist and the Oasys?

Asked on 4/28/2010 by Reanne from Devils Lake, ND

      1 answer

      • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

        A:

The 1-Day Acuvue Moist are a daily disposable lens, so you would put a new pair in every day and throw them away at night. The Acuvue Oasys are a 1 to 2 week wear lens, so you would store them overnight and put in a new pair every two weeks. They are also made out of different materials, have a different water content, and are made in different sizes.

    • Q:

my contact lens prescription has a diameter of 13.8, can I get that diameter in 1 day acuvue moist? or if not, would the 14.2 diameter that is already set be okay?

      Asked on 4/28/2010 by Anonymous

      1 answer

      • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

        A:

The 1-Day Acuvue Moist lenses do not come with a diameter of 13.8, they only come in a diameter of 14.2. Contact lens prescriptions are brand specific, which means that your current prescription that has a 13.8 diameter will not work for the 1-Day Acuvue Moist lenses. If you want to buy those lenses you will need to get approval from your doctor first.

My daughter wears these... it seems that the 90 count box is cheaper than the 30 count box... can I order those instead?

Asked on 4/22/2010 by Julie from Pinehurst, NC

      1 answer

      • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

        A:

Yes, the 30 pack and 90 pack are interchangeable. For your convenience, they are packaged in two different quantities, but the lenses are exactly the same. The 90 pack is available at a better rate, so it is usually better to order the larger quantity.
