I have contacts with a BC of 8.6, but wanted to get the one a day acuvue contacts. will that matter that acuvue only has 8.5?

Contact lens prescriptions are brand-specific, which means you cannot order a different brand unless your doctor writes a new prescription for that brand. Because each brand is only available in certain sizes and measurements, and is a different material, doctor's approval is required to change brands to ensure they fit properly.
