Comments about Acuvue 2 Colours:

i used to order the e blu colours contacts, i really like them because my eyes are light and you cant tell if they are blue or green half the time. my friend has similiar eyes as me naturally she went with green and her eyes really pop no one asks her if they are real or not, same with me when i use the blue they add just enough more blue to make me feel like a true blue eyed girl.. my eyes naturally are so indifferent that i wanted them to pop and this really does the trick for light eyes! as a tip i have tried to fully colored ones that look like they are painted blue or brown or hazel those work best for dark eyes these ones here are only enhancers they enhance the coloor you somewhat already have they will not change your eyes from brown to blue or anything like that. all in all i love them for me and anyone else that has light eyes

Comments about Acuvue 2 Colours:

These lenses are very, very comfortable! Since I have dark eyes, I prefer the hazel for sublte color, and warm honey for a dramatic yet natural looking. I also bought the deep blue, which I find are not for me, because they are very unnatural with my brown complexion; if you have medium brown or dark brown eyes do not expect them to pop. I just ordered the gray and they are on the way, so once I receive them, I will write a review.

I have brown eyes and these contacts are supposed to provide opaque color for even dark eyes. I bought the green contacts and they didn't even slightly change the color of my eyes. Very disappointed.

    Comments about Acuvue 2 Colours:

These contacts are very comfortable. However, I wasn't really impressed with the color. It's a change, but a subtle change. Like, I have light brown eyes and put the green in, and it didn't really pop at all. Plus, the color was weird - it was a puke green color. I wouldn't recommend the green for light-medium brown eyes. I wasn't really impressed and am sticking with Freshlook.

      • Q:

I currently do not wear Acuvue contacts, I wear a different brand, can I still order these even if I dont normally wear them?

        Asked on 7/14/2010 by Anonymous

        1 answer

        • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

          A:

No, you should only order the brand your eye doctor has prescribed. Each contact lens will fit differently and is made of a different material, so changing brands could dramatically affect the way the lens fits and feels. Prescriptions for contact lenses are brand-specific, meaning each prescription is for only one brand. If you want to change to a new brand, your eye doctor will need to write a new prescription for that brand.

Yes, you do. Contact lens prescriptions are brand-specific, so in order to change brands your doctor will need to write a new prescription for you.

Asked on 6/29/2010 by crystal from Louisville, ky

        1 answer

        • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

          A:

Sales tax is assessed based on your local tax structure. Many areas do not charge sales tax for prescriptions, including contact lenses. However, some areas will have a tax on contact lenses. After you have selected your product and entered your address information, you will see tax information in the summary before you submit your order.

what if i only use acuvue 2colours 2x a week it is still 1-2week dispossable

Asked on 6/28/2010 by pekta24 from italy

        1 answer

        • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

          A:

The manufacturer suggested wear time for the lenses is based on daily use. If you do not wear the lenses every day, they would not necessarily need to be changed after two weeks. As long as the lenses are being cleaned and stored properly, you should be able to get two weeks of wear time out of the lenses, not just two weeks total. If you have any questions about wear time and your replacement schedule, your eye doctor can also help you determine how you can best care for your lenses.

can i buy a two box pack with two seperate color contacts inside?

        Asked on 5/28/2010 by p& r

        1 answer

        • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

          A:

Each box contains 6 identical lenses, all in the same color. If your prescription is the same in both eyes, you could buy one box of one color and another box in a different color. If you have a different prescription in each eye, you would actually need to purchase 4 boxes total in order to get 2 different colors in each prescription.

          A:

Yes, you can order more than one color. To do this, you will want to add the product to your shopping cart by selecting your prescription information, choosing a color, and selecting 2 boxes for each eye (4 total). Once that has been added to your cart, please go back to the product list and repeat the process, choosing the second color you wish to purchase.

Yes, you do need a prescription to purchase any type of contact lens, even if they are just for cosmetic purposes. Contact lenses are considered a medical device so you would need to be fitted for them before you can place an order.

is your prescription the same for colored contacts and regular contacts?

Asked on 5/5/2010 by manda from taos, nm

        1 answer

        • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

          A:

Prescriptions for contact lenses are brand specific, so the numbers may be different depending on the brand. The strenght of the prescription won't change between a clear and a colored lens, but because they are usually separate brands, there is often a sizing difference. For that reason, you would need a separate presciption for a colored brand of lens in order to purchase them. Your doctor will write the prescription for all the correct measurements that will correspond to that brand.

        1 answer

        • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

          A:

Prescriptions for contact lenses are brand-specific because each brand is made from a different material and comes in different sizes. The Acuvue 2 Colours do not come in a base curve of 8.4, so you would need to approve a change in your prescription through your eye doctor. They will be able to write a new prescription with the correct measurements on it.

          A:

There are toric lenses available in color, such as the FreshLook Colorblends Toric. However, the Acuvue 2 Colours are not available in a toric lens. If you would like to wear a colored toric brand, you would need your eye doctor to write a new prescription for a brand that is available in color and toric correction.

          A:

Prescriptions for contact lenses are brand-specific because each brand is made from a different material and may fit differently. If your prescription information doesn’t match the brand you want to order, that means your prescription is most likely for a different brand. We can only sell you the brand your doctor prescribed, but if you want to change brands, you can consult your eye doctor to see if they can adjust your prescription.

what is the difference between enhancers and opaque. I have green eyes and want to change to blue, should I go with the Opaque?

        Asked on 4/23/2010 by Anonymous

        1 answer

        • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

          A:

Enhancer lenses have a color that is still somewhat transparent. They will only alter the color of a light eye, such as blue or green. Opaque lenses are not transparent and will change the eye color completely, even if your eyes are dark. With green eyes, you can use either enhancers or opaque lenses. You will find that both work, but each will look a little different, so it's really just a matter of preference.

          A:

The first step to get contact lenses is to get an eye exam from a qualified eye care professional. Even if you don't need vision correction, they will need to check the health of your eyes and take measurements to determine what base curve and diameter you need. Then they can write a prescription that will include the brand name and all related measurements and you will be able to purchase lenses.

Even if you are only ordering lenses for cosmetic purposes, it is still necessary to have a contact lens prescription. Because contact lenses are a medical device, they are only available by prescription and must be fitted to ensure comfort and proper eye health. After you've had an eye exam, the doctor will write a prescription which includes the numbers you need to place your order.
