Comments about Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism:

It was the first pair out of two I have used. This was average for me. It was really easy to put in and remove but it was really uncomforable and it made my eyes red. Sometimes it would feel fine but other times it would bug the heck out of me.

Comments about Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism:

Acuvue contacts are great. I have been wearing contacts for only one year; as ones for Astigmatism were not available in local market. I once tried the normal ones, a total disaster. But with Acuvue I get crisp & clear vision. The only problem I faced were with new pair. If the lens is folded in the pack & you put them on right away, it takes a bit of time for the cylindrical power to roll into correct angular position. This happens only if the lens is folded. Easy solution is to open the pack the night before changing, unfold them & let it soak in the solution overnight. It worked great for me.

Service and delivery comments:

The delivery service was great. I got them much earlier than expected.

  • Q:

Do they make these as a 30day contact instead of the 2weeks?

Asked on 7/21/2010 by Eeyore from Findlay, OH

    1 answer

    • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

      A:

No, the Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism is only made in a 1 to 2 week wear time.

  • Q:

what if the axis on my box doesn't match the numbers on the list. does it matter?

    Asked on 7/21/2010 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

      A:

Yes, the axis should match exactly if you are ordering the correct prescription. If the number on your box does not match, you are probably looking at the wrong brand of lenses. The numbers on your box will only fit with the brand you are prescribed.

  • Q:

I usually wear this type of contact but my question is do you have same contact in version 1-day ?

    Thanks

Asked on 6/28/2010 by Alex from Salinas, CA

    1 answer

    • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

      A:

Unfortunately there is no equivalent of this brand in a 1-day lens. There currently is not a 1-day toric lens offered in the Acuvue product line. There are other manufacturers who offer daily toric lenses, so if you are interested in those, your doctor would need to order some trial pairs for you and write a new prescription for a brand that will meet your needs.

Answered on 6/28/2010 by Melissa from Salt Lake City, UT
  • Q:

where is the axis located on the box?

    Asked on 6/1/2010 by kiko

    1 answer

    • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

      A:

The axis should be written on the side of the box along with the power and cylinder. It will be in a blue box and written in white. You will probably see something that says "AX" or just "X: followed by a number between 0 and 180. This is your axis measurement.

  • Q:

It looks like on this website that there is only one preset BC
My BC is 8.7 . Does it matter. How do I specify the 8.7?

    Asked on 5/12/2010 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

      A:

The base curve is different on each brand of lenses. The Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism only comes in an 8.6 base curve so that is the reason why you are unable to put yours in. The Acuvue Advance lenses, which aren't for astigmatism, however, do come in an 8.7 base curve. If you need help reading your prescription feel free to give us a call at 800-266-8228 and one of our representatives will be more than happy to help you.

  • Q:

i have acuvue advance for astigmatism lenses, and i can't select the correct power. i'm wondering if it's because you don't carry any power above 6.00?

    Asked on 5/4/2010 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

      A:

Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism lenses come in a power range of +6.00 to -9.00. If you wear a minus power you will need to scroll down when you are choosing your power on our website. If you wear a plus power then you may need to talk to your doctor because this brand is not made above a +6.00 power.

  • Q:

how do I read the prescription on the box?

    Asked on 4/28/2010 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

      A:

The prescription information should be on the side of the box, written in white text against a dark blue background. The first number (on top) will be the power or sphere, and should start with a plus or minus. The next line down will have the clyinder (a minus number) and the axis (a number between 0 and 180). The BC and DIA are standard for this lens, meaning there is only one option, so those numbers are not listed on the box. You just need to fill in the other three measurements.

    when will the contacts arrive?

Most orders are in stock and will ship from our warehouse within one business day. You can choose from a variety of shipping options including Standard (5-7 business days), Express (2-3 business days), and Next Business Day delivery.

  • Q:

    Can you wear these overnight

    Asked on 4/22/2010 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

      A:

The Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism are not specifically designed for overnight wear. They are intended to be a 2 week, daily wear lens, which means you take them out each night. For specific wear instructions, it is always best to refer to your eye care provider and follow the instructions they have provided.
