Comments about Dailies AquaComfort Plus 90pk:

Product Comments:I wore 3-month contacts for many years. I thought I was having very good luck with them. After all, I never had protein buildup or any of the other issues commonly associated with extended-wear contacts. Then, a friend at an eye clinic suggested that I try Focus Dailies. That was almost 10 years ago.The difference was incredible. I hadn't realized that contacts could be so clear and comfortable. There is a night-and-day difference in clearness and comfort between daily and extended-wear lenses. One literally has a brand new pair every day, and no extended-wear lens I've used can compete with that. No more cleaning rituals either. Just throw them away (the plastic blisters are recyclable, so it's not as wasteful as one might think). My eyes actually *felt* better every day after wearing the daily lenses. The only problem I've had with Dailies is that they are more difficult to handle and put in than extended-wear lenses, and tear more easily when handling because they're thinner (they've only torn while *wearing* one time in 10 years). However, one gets used to the differences quite quickly and they soon seem just as easy to put in as extended-wear lenses. One also cannot (or should not - it can be done but not comfortably or safely) sleep in them. However, I've never believed that one should sleep in contact lenses. Give your eyes a break!Ultimately, they were worth every penny. I could never go back.A year ago I tried out the Focus Dailies AquaComfort Plus, which are an "upgraded" version of the Focus Dailies. I figured there wouldn't be any real difference. Just when I thought that contacts couldn't get any better... The AquaComfort Plus lenses are even more comfortable to wear, as they don't fit so tightly and they moisturize every time one blinks. If something gets in my eye, it gets out on its own more easily than with previous lenses. Most importantly however, they last much longer before they start to dry out or become less comfortable. My eyes always tend to dry out some at night. Previous lenses would become blurry and uncomfortable. The AquaComfort Plus lenses stay moist for a few extra hours, allowing me to make it through a late evening without experiencing any dryness. In fact, I rarely experience it at all anymore. Having the comfort last all the way through the evening - something that no other contact lens I've tried can do - has made the AquaComfort Plus lenses worth the little extra cost over the regular Focus Dailies. It's not just a marketing gimmick - they really are a more comfortable version. The *only* downside is that they're just a little more difficult to handle than the Focus Dailies, since they're a little larger while remaining so thin. Still, these lenses really are the best I've ever used.I always recommend daily-wear lenses to people based on my experiences, especially to people who have sensitive eyes or who've had other problems associated with contacts. Having a fresh pair every day is tremendously helpful. The AquaComfort Plus lenses are now the specific lenses that I recommend. They may take some getting used to for the novice because of their thinness, but ultimately they're worth every penny. My eyes have thanked me for wearing them.Once again, I can't ever go back.

Service and delivery comments:

Service/Delivery:
1-800 Contacts has always delivered my orders very promptly and in perfect condition, and I've used them for years. They will have them left waiting at the door for me when I get home from work, rather than instructing the shipper to hand-deliver only (although I'm sure they'd instruct the shipper differently if asked). That's very important for someone who works weekdays, as it avoids the annoyances of having to drive to the shipper's facility to pick them up or try to be at home when the package arrives.

On the rare occasion when they're having trouble getting my prescription from the doctor, their customer service has been excellent, even when dealing over email. Good email-based support is a fairly rare thing, so it's a definite plus with this company.

1-800 Contacts has always been a good company to do business with, even after several years, and I expect to continue to use them for more to come.

Comments about Dailies AquaComfort Plus 90pk:

I'm going back to contacts after 5 years of just wearing my glasses due to my eyes getting dry with contacts. My doctor gave these to me as a trial. Once I got used to them after the first few minutes they were very comfortable. The downside is that after around 10 hours of wear they started to dry out and become blurry on me.

Comments about Dailies AquaComfort Plus 90pk:

This lens is so comfortable. Used to have to clean my lenses every day and these are so convenient, I take them off & I throw them away, next day I just put in a new pair. I thought at first it may be too expensive, but when I factor in the $ I spent on the solution to clean my lenses, it's actually close to what I was spending on lenses before. Can't sleep in them though.

Allergy Season - Dailies are a must.

    By Rev. Cindy

    About Me Experienced wearer

    Pros

    • All-day comfort
    • Clear vision
    • Feel moist

    Cons

    • Difficult to put in

    Best Uses

    • High Pollen Season

Comments about Dailies AquaComfort Plus 90pk:

I have switched to Dailies for Allergy Season. When the pollen gets high and the air is full of dust my long-term wear contacts are impossible to keep clean.

The dailies are a bit more difficult to put in because they are so thin and curl over easily, but with a little practice this is not a problem.

The only down-side to the Dailies, is it's impossible to take an afternoon cat nap and then continue with the same pair for the rest of the day and evening. For some reason even putting in drops following the nap doesn't help. The rest of the day my vision is blurry.

        A:

This brand is only offered in a 14.0 diameter. It is possible you used to wear a different brand which was made in a different diameter. Each brand is unique and they are often made in different sizes, which is one reason brands are not interchangeable.

    • Q:

I only wear these in one eye... Do I have the math right? One box of 90 x 4 boxes = 360 contacts divided by 30 days = 12 month supply.

        A:

Yes, you are correct. If you only wear lenses in one eye, 4 boxes will be a one year supply of lenses.

are these contacts good for those with allergies?

        A:

Unfortunately, we really couldn't say whether these lenses would work better with your allergies. Your eye doctor would be the best person to talk to regarding allergies. However, daily lenses are designed for comfort and convenience, and you would be able to put a fresh pair of lenses in each day. That would probably be simpler and more convenient for a person with allergies.
