Comments about Air Optix Night & Day Aqua (Night & Day):

I have allergies and very dry, sensitive eyes. I have used these as a daily wear contact for 4 years because my eye doctor felt these were the best choice for me and my active lifestyle. I like the fact that if I fell asleep with them in, it was not a big deal. I found that they were very dry and uncomfortable if I slept with them in. I always felt like there was something in my eye and the eye doc said that is because these lenses are so bulky. I've now switched to 1-day throwaways and am very happy about it (thin lenses, no maintenance). I will NOT go back to this contact.

Comments about Air Optix Night & Day Aqua (Night & Day):

This contact lens has it all. I tried all the different brands to find one that works with my dry eyes. I had settled on the Proclear, which worked well for me. The eye doctor suggested I try the Air Optix Night and Day because they are more permeable. And they were a big hit.

      1) I wear them all night and day for 30 days. It's like having LASIK.
      2) I often travel for extended time to remote locations with no running water. It works well to have a lens I never need to touch.
      3) I save money on solution, because these don't come out of my eyes.
      4) I don't need a pair of glasses to put on every night.
      5) I can wake up in the middle of the night and see everything.

Comments about Air Optix Night & Day Aqua (Night & Day):

I use these contacts everyday, all day! They let in alot of oxygen so you might tear up easily. In the morning they will be blury for about 2 weeks of continuos wear, then after some time they will become less and less blury. Anything you are doing, you will not have any problems with these contacts. I love to hunt, so I need contacts to see all the moments in the woods, these contacts show me them like they are right in front of my face.

          A:

Yes, the Air Optix Night and Day Aqua are FDA approved for overnight wear for up to 30 days. However, it is always important to discuss your wear schedule with your eye doctor to ensure proper eye health.

what is the differnece in an 8.4 and a 8.6 base curve?

Asked on 5/17/2010 by Mollie from Nashville, tn

        1 answer

        • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

          A:

The Base Curve measures the curve of the lens and determines how it fits the eye. The 8.4 would be a steeper curvature than the 8.6, meaning if would fit tighter. Your doctor will measure your eyes and write on your prescription which base curve is best for you.

How efficient is the gas exchange rating compared to acuvue oasys?

        Asked on 5/5/2010 by Anonymous

        1 answer

        • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

          A:

There is a measurement called dk/t, which is a number used to indicate the oxygen permissibility of a contact lens. The Air Optix Night & Day has a dk/t rating value of 140, while the Acuvue Oasys has a dk/t value of 103. Both lenses offer a high oxygen permeability, but the Air Optix Night and Day Aqua is the highest of all the major contact lens brands.

      • Q:

I need a 6.50 lens for my left eye and it appears that you only have a choice for 6.0. Do you carry a 6.5?

        Asked on 4/29/2010 by Anonymous

        1 answer

        • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

          A:

The Air Optix Night and Day Aqua lenses are only made in a power up to +6.00. If your prescription says 6.5, it may either be a -6.50, which is more common, or it could be a +6.50, but for a different brand. You may want to clarify the prescription with the doctor to make sure it is accurate.
