O2 Optix Custom™ is the first and only made-to-order silicone hydrogel lens from a worldwide leader in silicone hydrogel technology.

Unlike stocked silicone hydrogel contact lenses which are cast molded, custom lenses generally require high-precision lathing. Since pure silicone is very rubbery and doesn’t lend itself to being cut on a lathe, CIBA Vision material chemists invented an exciting new silicone hydrogel formulation called sifilcon A that has a unique property that allows it to be lathed.

O2 Optix Custom™ features a patented, permanent, biocompatible plasma surface treatment that resists deposits to contribute to healthy lens wear. With this unique surface treatment, O2 Optix Custom™ contact lenses can be worn comfortably for up to three months of daily wear.
