Comments about Precision UV:

I have been wearing contacts constantly since 1991 and wore these contacts from 1998 to 2005. These contacts were suggested by my doctor because I have a family history of macular degeneration and he suggested that this additional UV protection (in addition to my UV blocking sunglasses) would be advisable.

Overall, very comfortable lenses. Very durable. Stayed in, stayed centered, and stayed moist unless I did something stupid like wear them for two months including nights, which I did -but which I am not advising- but even then they were durable and cleaned up easily and remoistened with a quick rinse of saline (mps).

One major drawback: The UV coating or the visitint, or the combination, made night vision a bit poor, and made all vision just a bit unclear in general; not obviously, but just a bit. My suggestion is to have your doctor recheck that you are corrected to 20/20 WITH the contacts in, to make sure that you don't need a slight adjustment. Also, keep an eye on your night vision. If it gets poorer over the course of several years (as it did with me) I suggest you consider a change to different contact lenses.

If you change lenses weekly they get a little pricey - one box only lasts 6 weeks. Monthly lenses are packaged 6 to a box at the same cost.

But these lenses are very comfortable and wear well. They are thin and super hydrated. The best I have worn and I've been wearing lenses over 20 years with a very strong RX.

  The manufacturer suggested wear time for Precision UV is 1 to 2 weeks. That is the length of time they were designed to be worn for. If you would like to wear the lenses for a different amount of time, it is best to consult with your eye care provider regarding replacement schedules. They should be able to help you figure out a replacement schedule that works best for your needs.
