    Comments about PureVision Multifocal:

I have wore contacts before long ago, but the theses contacts are great and very comfortable to wear. I just love not having to wear my glasses. Now, all I ever wear is my contacts. Also, I like not having to put a new pair in every week. or two. These's I can wear for one month.
If you have never tried contacts before. You should. You would be glad you did. I won't wear no other kind but PureVision.

The only thing I don't like about these's is the price. Other than that, They are GREAT!!!!!

      Comments about PureVision Multifocal:

I was tired of needing to wear readers for computer work. With these I don't need the extra readers. My eyes adjust easily and I don't have to tilt my head to see out of the bottom of my bifocal glasses.
The technology with these makes it so the middle of the contact is where the reading power is centered so there is no worry about putting them on upside down or having the bifocal part float around your eye.

      My First Contacts

      By DaveK

      from Indiana

      About Me New to contacts

      Pros

      • All-day comfort
      • Clear vision
      • Feel moist

      Cons

      • Can't wear over 24 hours

      Best Uses

      • Activities and sports
      • Extended wear

      Comments about PureVision Multifocal:

I can focus from 6-inches to infinity with these in. I like them because I don't have to mess with bifocal glasses. I was constantly putting my glasses on to see far away and taking them off to see up close and laying them down somewhere. Now I am free from the hassle of glasses. I was hoping I could wear these contacts for an extended time (up to 30 days), but I discovered that I cannot sleep with these in, because I wake up with sore, dry eyes. I just take them out at night and put them in each morning, which I am getting used to doing. The multi-focal is GREAT, because I now have perfect vision at all distances, which I haven't had since the sixth grade!

      Effective bifocals

        Comments about PureVision Multifocal:

I have very dry eyes, and these work pretty well for me; however, I don't find that a pair lasts for a month, and I wouldn't dream of leaving them in overnight.

Unfortunately these lense do not come in colors, but they do have a light blue handling tint to make them easier to see while handling them.

Unfortunately we do not sell single lenses, or trial lenses because we are not a doctors office and cannot prescribe lenses.

        • Q:

My prescription only indicates under ADD, High. But the box for ADD online says 2.50 high. I don't know what the 2.50 means. Thanks.

          Asked on 5/3/2010 by Anonymous

          1 answer

          • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

            A:

The High add is the +2.50 add. The +2.50 simply refers to the strength of the additional correction in the lens. These multifocal lenses have multiple add powers built into the lens so you can have clear vision at a variety of distances. Depending on what prescription strength you need, you will have a High ADD, meaning the correction in the lens goes all the way up to +2.50, or a Low ADD, meaning the correction only goes up to +1.50.

Can you sleep in these contacts?

          • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

            A:

The PureVision Multifocal lenses are FDA approved for overnight wear for up to 30 days. It is always best to follow your eye doctors instructions for lens wear, but the lenses are designed for overnight wear.

        • Q:

which is the correct way to wear my lenses? How do I know if the contact is inside out?
I have one pair of these contacts from my eye doctor.

          Asked on 4/27/2010 by Anonymous

          1 answer

          • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

            A:

The PureVision Multifocal lenses don't have a marking to indicate the front or back of the lens. In order to tell if it is right-side out, hold the lens (curve facing upward) on the tip of one finger. If the lens is right-side out, it should have a smooth curve all the way to the edge, like the outside of a bowl, with the edges facing up. If it is inside out, the edges will face outward instead, and the curve will not appear to be continuous.

        • Q:

As a new user, I'm curious about how long I can wear these lenses. How do I know when it's time to change them?

          Asked on 4/19/2010 by Anonymous

          1 answer

          • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

            A:

The PureVision Multifocal lenses are designed to be a monthly wear lens. You would typically change them once per month, unless given alternate instructions from your eye care provider.
