Comments about PureVision Toric (PureVision For Astigmatism):

So, I got my first pair of contacts at the eye doctor, and I got the 6 month...it's been 3 months and I've noticed they ALL dry out, and make my eyes water, and all around uncomfortable. So, whenmy 6 months are over, I'm going to BEG my eye doctor to get me a new kind..because I can't handle these ones, and if he can't. I'm just going to wear my glasses forever.

Comments about PureVision Toric (PureVision For Astigmatism):

I was given these lenses as a trial pair and didn't like them from the beginning. They are okay for the first few hours and then seem to dry out and cause irritation and they are very expensive. I switched to UltraFlex Toric and they are better for me.

I have used other brands of contacts, but this brand has been a comfortable fit for me. I have a very active lifestyle working in the Parks and Recreation career and my vision is important to my job. I would recommend this brand to anyone with a busy lifestyle, they stay comfortable all day long.

These contacts dried up after 2 weeks of using them. I am now using Biofinity with no problems. They were great when they were new, but they lost their moisture easily for me. They were not right for me.

Comments about PureVision Toric (PureVision For Astigmatism):

I forgot about the daily hassle of removing and cleaning my other lenses.
No worry about tearing these jewels....they stay protected in your eyes 24/7 for a whole month. Every now and then, I wake up and need a drop or 2 of lube. Thats it for care. The first few days they may feel a little odd, as the material is slightly thicker than many 'soft' lenses. Once you adjust, you will absolutely love PureVision Torics.

can I sleep with them all night, or how many consecutive days can I wear them safely, are they safe for at least 48-72 hours of wear?

            1 answer

            • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

              A:

The PureVision Toric lenses are FDA approved for up to 30 days of continuous wear. Many patients find that they need to take the lenses out and clean them sooner than that, but they can be worn overnight on a regular basis. It is always a good idea to discuss the wear schedule with your eye doctor as well to maintain proper lens care and eye health.

          • Q:

When it says that the regular priced package is a 2 box order, does it mean one box per eye?

            Asked on 4/22/2010 by Anonymous

            1 answer

            • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

              A:

Yes, we assume that the boxes purchased will be evenly split between each eye. A 2 box order would be 1 box for each eye, which should last 6 months if you are changing the lenses once per month. To order 2 boxes you would change the quantity for each eye to 1.

            1 answer

            • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

              A:

Unfortunately, we would not be able to determine what lenses are best for you. Only an eye care provider can recommend and prescribe contact lenses. If you already have a contact lens prescription, it should include a brand name. If not, you would need to consult with your eye doctor to get a contact lens exam.

            1 answer

            • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

              A:

Each box contains 6 lenses. The PureVision Toric are monthly wear lenses, so one box is a 6 month supply for one eye. You would need to order one box for each eye (2 total) for a 6 month supply.

            1 answer

            • 1-800 CONTACTS Customer Care

              A:

The Purevision Toric lenses are only made in cylinders of -0.75, -1.25, -1.75, and -2.25. If your prescription is for a CYL of -2.75, it may either be for a different brand, or you might be looking at your glasses prescription. Contact lens prescriptions are brand-specific, so there should be a brand name listed on the prescription, which would be the correct brand to order with the measurements provided. If you need help reading your prescription, we are available 24/7 for customer service.
