PureVision™ contact lenses with innovative optics deliver pure, rich contrast and highly refined detail. PureVision contacts are made from our unique material that’s exceptionally healthy, so your eyes can feel as comfortable as you ever imagined, all day long and well into the night.

PureVision contact lenses have an enhanced optical design to correct spherical aberration, a natural occurrence in which light rays are refracted at different angles as they pass through the eye. Left uncorrected, spherical aberration can result in less than optimal visual quality.

PureVision contact lenses are marketed as a contact lens that can be worn safely 24 hours a day for up to 30 nights & days.

  • Exceptional vision with high-definition aspheric optical design.
  • Made of comfort-enhancing material
  • PureVision allows natural levels of oxygen to reach your eyes.
  • Lens Type:
PureVision contact lenses are designed to be worn as an extended wear lens for up to 30 days of continuous wear. However, only your eye care provider can determine if these lenses are right for you and how many days and nights you can wear them. It is important that you follow your eye care provider’s wearing instructions.

I have worn these contacts for the last 3 years and LOVE them. Have never had a problem with them at all. Comfortable I can never feel them once they are in. I swim just about every day in the summer and I work all day at a computer. As long as you take care of them and keep them clean they are a dream!!!!! I will be purchasing them again this year.

The contacts at first felt a little weird but thereafter they felt great and I can honestly say that I have tried some contacts that are more expensive and are suppose to be better but these were great and not as expensive as others that I used before.

      Comments about PureVision:

I have tried many contacts and these have served me well. They are easy to put in and take out. They have been very comfortable especially with someone like myself that is very farsighted using a +4.50 strength, which in the past every contact that I used I constantly felt as if there was something in my eyes. With these contacts I don't feel the discomfort until the end of the Month when it is time to change them out.

        Comments about PureVision:

I wasn't happy with this purchase at all. In fact, I begged 1800 Contacts to switch me out within a month or so of purchasing these. (Thank you for that easy exchange, 1800 Contacts!!!) I've been wearing Acuvue 2 for about a decade, so maybe I'm just too used to them, but there are a couple things here that really bugged me that I thought people would want to know.
        1. They're not tinted at all, so if you drop them it can be difficult to find. This is a big no-no for me, as I'm a clutz. :)
        2. They don't have any indicators on the lens of whether it's inside out or not. Again, maybe someone else is more savvy than me, but I'm in a hurry in the mornings, and I find myself pushing it inside and out, trying to decipher which way is right. I'd rather just pop 'em in and go.
        3. I wear the Acuvue 2 lenses a lot longer than two weeks, so I'll admit, I was going to wear these longer than a month, but I couldn't. They lasted a month, period, then started itching and irritating my eyes--the ol' signal that it's time to change. Now this is not really a complaint, as I cannot complain that it's doing what it says it'll do, BUT the Acuvue 2s are a better deal, as they'll easily last almost a month, and they're half the price. Just an FYI.
        4. These start to get dry at night really easily.
        5. If you stare at something (aka computer screen), they can shift a bit and make you have to blink and adjust, which is something the Acuvues never did to me.

          Comments about PureVision:

I recently tried out the new Acuvue Oasis and still love my B&Ls. I live in the desert and the Acuvue are supposed to be better for drier climates but they don't last as long as the B&Ls. My eyes feel just as good for longer with the B&Ls.

Do these come as colored lenses also? I have my prescription for purevision but need colored contacts..

              A:

No, the PureVision are not available in color. Your doctor would need to write a new prescription for a colored lens in order for you to buy colored contacts.

How many hours can these contact lens be worn?

              A:

There isn't a set limit for how many hours each type of lens can be worn. Every lens wearer is different and will find that their lenses are comfortable for a different amount of time. If you find that your lenses are still comfortable after 8 hours you can continue to wear them. However if you feel they are not as comfortable, you would need to either take them out or use a rewetting drop to aid in comfort.

Do these contacts provide oxygen to the eye while wearing them for an extended time? Also are they good for looking at computers daily?

              A:

The PureVision lenses have a fairly high oxygen permeability rating, so that helps make them more comfortable over longer periods of time. However, it really varies based on personal preference. Some eyes dry out more quickly than others, and although one brand may work very well for one person, for another person the lenses could not work at all. You should work with your eye doctor to find the lens that works best for your specific needs. Your doctor can also provide you with a trial pair which will help you determine if this lens is right for you

            Hello,
I am a bit confuse. Does each box have a 6 month supply? I want to order a year supply of contacts but do I need to order 4 boxes of each or 2?

Asked on 4/28/2010 by mayra from los angeles, ca

              A:

Each box contains 6 lenses, and each lens will last for up to one month. 4 boxes total, 2 for each eye, would be a one year supply of lenses.

            Hi
Well i have a question...Sometimes my contacts feel funny in my eyes...I put in the eye drop stuff in but that sometimes makes it worse...So what do i do?

              A:

Ideally, your contact lenses should be comfortable enough that you don't really notice them throughout the day. If the lenses are not as comfortable as you'd like them to be, the best thing to do is talk to your eye doctor about what you are experiencing so they can advise you on how to correct the problem. Each person is unique, so you might find that a different brand of lenses just works better for you. Since your eyes are irritated, it is also possible you have a mild medical problem that needs to be addressed. Your doctor should be able to make recommendations once you discuss the situation in more detail.
