CooperVision, Inc. is changing the brand name of CV Encore Toric to Vertex Toric. While the name is new, the actual packaged lens remains the same. During this transition you may receive either lens, but you can trust that their performance will be identical.

If you have astigmatism and want crisp, clear vision with the convenience of a disposable lens, consider Vertex Toric lenses. Vertex Toric lenses are manufactured using CooperVision's patented UltraSync® technology, a process that produces a perfect edge on every contact lens. This contact lens design provides more stability and less rotation, ensuring that vision and comfort are consistent with each new pair of contact lenses.

Vertex Toric lenses are also manufactured with a light blue handling tint, which makes the lenses easier to see when inserting and removing. Plus, with a disposable contact lens system, you’re always equipped with an additional pair in case you lose or damage a lens.

Comments about Vertex Toric (Encore Toric):

I really like these lenses. They feel comforatable until the end of the day. I have been wearing contacts for 12 years now and have tried many different brands. I even tried the new Acuvue Oasys recently by a mix up at a new optometrist and they were terrible in comparison.

Comments about Vertex Toric (Encore Toric):

I am 30 years old and have been wearing contacts for about 15 years now. I started wearing these about 6 years ago when I was having comfort issues with my contacts. My eye doctor had me try so many differents pairs but as soon as I put these in I felt immediate relief. Best contact lense I have ever had. Great comfort and non-drying.

Comments about Vertex Toric (Encore Toric):

I started wearing these last year and have never had better vision correction. My vision was actually sharper than 20/20 and that's a major improvement for someone whose rx is in the 6.00 range. After all the ads and hype, I decided to try Air Optix Astigmatism, but have found them to be untolerable for some reason( possibly the different material). I will definitely change my prescription back to the Vertex Torics. I've tried many toric lenses over the years, and so far, they're the best overall. The polymer material and shape of the lenses are comfortable and they don't shift or intensify dry eyes.

Are these contacts breathable and can they be worn over night?

            A:

Every soft contact lens is breatable to a certain extent. Each lens is different and allows a certain amount of oxygen to pass through the lens and into the cornea. The oxygen permeability rating for these lenses is 18.8, which is fine for daily use. However, the Vertex Toric are not FDA approved to be worn overnight unless otherwise specified by your eye care provider.

my doc. wrote vertex toric 55 on my perscription, is this the best lens for me?

            A:

It really isn't possible to say what lens is best for you. Your eye doctor is qualified to examine your eyes and determine what lenses you should wear. Prescriptions for contact lenses are brand-specific, so you will need to order the brand your doctor prescribed. However, if you don't feel like they work as well as you'd like, or if you want to try other brands, your doctor should be able to prescribe something else for you to wear. Most people find that many brands work just fine for them, so there isn't necessarily one single option that is best.
