COVID-19 and your contact lenses

Dear contact lens wearers,

Because people rely on 1-800 Contacts for their vision needs, we wanted to give you an update about how we’re dealing with the COVID-19 virus. The short version: everything is business as usual.

To be cautious, we’re keeping an eye on announcements and direction from health and government leaders and exercising established plans to take care of our associates as needed. However, day-to-day operations haven’t been interrupted.

Your contacts are still available

There haven’t been any disruptions to our supply chain (contact lenses aren’t manufactured in China) and we’re receiving inventory shipments on schedule. The workstations and equipment in both our secure Utah and North Carolina distribution centers are sterilized every day. This isn’t new – it’s been standard procedure for years to help protect our customers and associates.

We currently have over 45 million contact lenses in stock so you can still place an order anytime with our app, online, or by calling 1-800-266-8228, and receive your contacts as you normally would.

If your prescription expires

If you need to order new contacts but have an expired prescription and want to limit unnecessary travel, you can use our online vision exam to renew your prescription from home. It only takes about 10 minutes to complete, and you’ll receive a new doctor-issued prescription within about an hour.

Remember the basics

As a reminder, please continue to use good contact lens hygiene habits by thoroughly washing your hands before and after you handle your contacts.

Thanks for being a customer. As always, if you have any questions or there’s anything we can do to help, we’re here for you 24/7.

– The 1-800 Contacts Team
