Meet our Lens Friends - Sean

Jul 16, 2020

It’s Get to Know Your Customers Day! In celebration, we want to highlight one of our favorite ambassadors, Sean. He’s a vocal part of our Lens Friends community on Instagram and inspires us to make more creative decisions.

Sean lives in Washington D.C. and has a sharp eye for design. His passion for creativity and art is shown best on his Instagram, where he turns the hum-drum of daily life into something special.

We hope you love Sean as much as we do!

What are you working on right now?

Finalizing my website! With a growing client base for design/creative services, I feel lucky to be in a place where I can start partnering with more people or brands and show what I can do.

What makes you happiest?

My friends and family, I’d be nothing without them.

Do you have any exciting plans coming up?

I actually just finished a trip to the mountains of North Carolina as well as visiting my parents in Cape Cod. I’ve been doing my best to travel wisely and safely as I recommend others do, mask on. I’ll be visiting Philadelphia next to see some dear college friends which I always look forward to.

Where do you spend most of your time when you’re not busy?

Pre-COVID? Everywhere and anywhere in the city, I’m so lucky to live in such a bustling town. During COVID? At home with my three roommates, or in our little backyard enjoying some air.

We’re fans of your Instagram, when did you discover your passion for photography?

I think Annie Lebowitz said it best: “One doesn’t stop seeing. One doesn’t stop framing. It doesn’t turn off and turn on. It’s on all the time.” It’s something I inherited from my mother, and her my grandfather. A creative eye cultivated by an appreciation for everyday beauty.

What inspires your photography?

My photography is inspired by my day-to-day. Whether that’s a beautiful sunset, hand-crafted cocktails, or my outfit on the way to a local event. It really is “what you see is what you get.” My camera is always in-hand. I’m always looking at something or someone for the next shot.

How has ordering with 1-800 Contacts made your life convenient?

I basically feel like I hit one button and boom, my contacts are on the way. It’s just so convenient and easy to use. All of my experiences have been exceptional. The customer service is stellar, paralleled by quality products. What else could you need?

What is something that you look forward to seeing every day?

If I’m being absolutely honest, my phone. My vision is so bad I can barely decipher the screen without putting it up to my nose. Staying connected is a big part of what I do, so contacts make sure I start every day off right.

What was your experience like working with our re-lensing company, Boomerang?  Would you do it again?

I’ve tried Boomerang and it was an awesome experience. The team made sure my order was accurate and reached out if they had any questions. I’m obsessed with my new lenses and most importantly, up-cycling my old frames.

What’s your favorite part of being in the #LensFriends community?

I think glasses/contacts wearers are their own group of people. Like, who else can relate with wearing a mask only to constantly fog up your glasses? This sense of community is what keeps me coming back.

Do you have anything you want to plug? Where can people find you on the internet and is there a message you want to share with our community?

I’ve just recently launched my digital portfolio, seanpvm.com, where you can see my current projects, personal tips, and passion for all things creative. I wanted a space where I could share my talents and stories, along with those of others. Somewhere fun, light-hearted, and inspiring.

You can also find Sean on Instagram (we definitely recommend taking a look).

Thank you, Sean, for your consistent willingness to partner up with us. You’re an amazing asset and we couldn’t be luckier to have you as a customer and ambassador.
