Brian Bethers, CEO of 1-800 Contacts, accepts the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

I’m Brian Bethers, CEO of 1-800 CONTACTS and I’ve been nominated to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Thousands of people are diagnosed with ALS in the United States each year and research for a cure is ongoing.

ALS has touched my life as well as the lives of our associates’ families and friends.

Just as it takes many hands to fill a contacts order, it will take many contributions to make a difference in the fight against this disease.

I’m happy to announce that 1-800 CONTACTS will make a donation to the ALS Association for each of our associates who completes the Ice Bucket Challenge.
