There are a few reasons why you should consider keeping a cute pair of glasses around even if you mainly wear contacts. Let’s talk about them!

1. You forgot to stock up on contacts

Pobody’s Nerfect, right? Sometimes we forget to stock up on contacts and we’re stuck without a pair for a couple of days. Having backup pair of glasses in this scenario is a total lifesaver. Do future you a favor and be prepared!

2. You need something to complete your look

Glasses aren’t just for functionality; they're a fashion accessory for your face. Find yourself a pair of statement-piece glasses and rock them with your favorite outfits.

3. You're on vacay and you lost your contacts water skiing

Ok, super-specific example. But things happen on vacation when you’re having fun. We’ll ship your contacts to you, pretty much anywhere. But having a pair of backup glasses in this scenario means you don’t have to go one minute without being able to see. Just put a pair on and enjoy the views while you wait for us to deliver your contacts.

4. You want to look EXTRA smart

Apparently, there’s this rumor going around that wearing glasses makes you look smarter. Hey, whatever works, right? Keep an extra pair of glasses around for that next call with your coworkers.

What happens if you wear contacts and glasses at the same time?

You can definitely wear glasses while wearing contacts. Some people wear reading glasses. But wearing prescription lenses with prescription glasses for prolonged periods of time can actually hurt your eyes. So, don’t make a habit out of it.
