How to get colored contacts
Are you looking to switch up your look? Add some extra flair to your everyday life? Do you feel the need to color coordinate your outfit to your eye color? If you said yes to any of those questions, then it sounds like you're in need of some color contacts!
Luckily, colored contacts are more widely available today than ever before. The best part is that all our colored contacts are FDA approved and require a prescription - no sketchy (potentially harmful) costume lenses here.
Types of colored contacts
Enhancers
Enhancing colored contacts are mostly translucent lenses that provide a slight tint or sheen to your eye color. Some types of enhancing lenses provide a color that mixes with your natural eye color underneath providing a seamless, but less dramatic effect. They might not be the most eye-catching colors, but they are the most natural looking. If you want to mix things up, but keep your natural eye color, these are the ones for you.
Opaque lenses
Opaque colored contacts provide a much more dramatic effect than enhancers. You can go from brown eyes to vibrant green in just 30 seconds. They come in a variety of colors: true sapphire, gemstone green, brilliant blue, sterling gray, amethyst, and more! They are the perfect fit for a new look, costume, or for just spicing things up.
Toricolors
We've been looking to offer our customers colored astigmatism contact lenses for a long time and unfortunately they've never been an option - until now! We now have prescription colored contact lenses for our astigmatism customers.
These lenses are unique in that they offer opaque color options while still providing you with perfect vision. They come in four colors: golden amber, emerald green, horizon gray, and seabreeze blue. Now that pesky astigmatism can't stop you from trying colored contacts.
How to get colored contacts
Since all of our contacts are FDA approved, they require a contact lens prescription just like any other brand. You may be eligible to take our ExpressExam and receive a prescription for colored contacts if you have an existing contact lens prescription. Chat with one of our experienced agents anytime for more information and to see if you're eligible.
Otherwise, you'll need to visit your eye care provider for a new exam. It would be a routine exam, just be sure to say you'd like to get colored contacts and for which brand. Your eye doctor will help you decide on the best option for your prescription and eye shape. Then you're all set to get the eye color of your dreams.
